Ingredients

  • 41​ cup Ghee
  • 1 cup Semolina (Suji)
  • 1 tablespoon MFM Cap Ros All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Hot Water or Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 21​ teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • A pinch of Saffron Strands (soaked in one tablespoon of milk) OR orange/yellow food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon Cashew Nuts
  • 1 tablespoon Raisins

Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat a pan and add half of the ghee. Roast the cashew nuts and raisins, then remove them from the pan.
  2. In the same pan, add the semolina (suji) and MFM Cap Ros All-Purpose Flour. Roast on low heat until fragrant.
  3. Boil the water or milk in a separate pot. Add the saffron/food coloring.
  4. Slowly pour the hot liquid into the suji/flour mixture while stirring quickly to prevent lumps from forming.
  5. Once the mixture thickens, add the sugar and cardamom powder.
  6. Continue stirring until the Kesari achieves a shiny texture and is ready to be served.
  7. Mix in the roasted nuts and raisins evenly.
